Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions we hear most about ordering, pressing, and caring for STR8 DTF transfers. Still stuck? Call us at 855-963-4100.

Ordering & Turnaround

What is your production turnaround?
Standard turnaround is 1–2 business days from artwork approval. Orders placed before 10AM PT typically go into production the same day.
Do you offer rush service?
Yes. Rush orders can ship same-day depending on volume — contact us at 855-963-4100 before placing your order and we'll confirm availability.
How much is shipping?
We ship via USPS and UPS. Free shipping is included on orders over $75. Smaller orders ship at flat calculated rates at checkout.
Do you ship internationally?
Currently we ship within the United States only. Reach out if you need a custom international quote.

Artwork & Files

What file format do you accept?
PNG with a transparent background at 300 DPI is preferred. We also accept high-resolution PDF, SVG, and TIFF files. Artwork should be sized to the final print dimension.
Do you offer artwork help?
Yes. Basic file cleanup (background removal, resizing, color adjustment) is free. Full custom design work is billed hourly — email info@str8dtf.com for a quote.
Can I gang multiple designs on one sheet?
Absolutely. Our Build-Your-Own-Sheet option lets you fill a 22" sheet with as many designs as fit — perfect for small runs and sampling.

Applying Your Transfers

What temperature and pressure should I use?
Press at 300°F (150°C) with medium-firm pressure for 10–15 seconds. Peel warm, then finish with a 5-second re-press using a cover sheet for maximum durability.
What fabrics work with DTF?
DTF transfers bond to cotton, polyester, poly-blends, nylon, canvas, denim, leather, and most performance fabrics. If in doubt, order a test sheet first.
Do I need a Teflon or parchment sheet?
Yes — always use a cover sheet on the final re-press. It protects the print, locks the adhesive, and gives a smoother finish.

Wash & Care

How should garments be washed?
Turn inside out, wash cold on a gentle cycle, and tumble dry low or hang dry. Avoid bleach and fabric softener. Properly pressed transfers hold up 50+ washes without cracking or fading.
What if my print peels or cracks?
Peeling is almost always an application issue — usually not enough time, temperature, or pressure. Contact us and we'll troubleshoot your press setup and reprint if the film itself is defective.

Wholesale & Accounts

Do you offer wholesale pricing?
Yes. Volume discounts kick in automatically at checkout, and dedicated wholesale accounts are available for shops running weekly production. Contact us to set one up.
Can I pick up my order locally?
Yes — local pickup is free at our Gilroy, CA facility. Select "Local Pickup" at checkout and we'll email you when your order is ready.
